Happy New Year readers!!

Every January the "best of ..." reading lists start being released. Selected by professionals, reviewers and editors, the lists can provide some impetus for meeting your reading New Year's "resolutions."

Watch for the American Library Association "bests" released at the midwinter conference on January 28 this year. Can you imagine getting an early morning call that you have won the Newbery Award as the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children!

The ALA will announce 19 awards at 8:00am PT on January 28 from the Washington State convention Center in Seattle. These titles become the next classics in American literature.
